Sara Thomas is the queen of the stage
We love Sara Thomas. She's always got a hug and warm smile for us. And she's a tireless supporter of Localist. And she sometimes feeds us burritos. And, most pertinent to this posting, she's an ultra-talented, honey-voiced singer-songwriter (who deserves even more hyphens, but in the interest of clarity, we'll spare you), who has several high profile gigs coming up that you should attend.Tonight, together with Brian Frazier (leadsinger of Sao Paulo), Sara and friends will be performing at the Ecological Conservation Organization's "Forever Wild," a celebration of nature and such. Walkin' Jim Stoltz, who we're told sings "wilderness music" in a deep bass, will host and show pictures from his 26,000 miles of trekking across the country. The event starts at 7pm in the Rivermarket Pavillion. It's free.
And Saturday, she's playing the Underground Pub with the Lookback Marys.
And next Tuesday night the Sara Thomas Band (Dave Hoffpauir, Chris Michaels, and Ben Harris) play AETN Presents: Front Row, sort of Arkansas' answer to Austin City Limits--a live concert filmed with a studio audience. To get your mug on TV and see a fine concert, all you've gotta do is visit www.aetn.org or call 1-800-662-2386 and RSVP. The show starts at 7pm, and guests are asked to show up at 6:30 pm.
And look out for Get to You, a new EP coming soon.
