Thurs.24.AprilThe Weisenheimers @ White Water Tavern (9pm, $5) with Jason & The Punknecks. Little Rock's own California-style punks, plus the Punknecks, a touring hillbilly rock'n'roll outfit.
Fri.25.April
ACAC Show Your Shorts Film Night @ 1419 S. Main (6-10pm, $5 suggested). The third in a continuing series of Arkansas short film showcases from ACAC, this week's featured filmmakers include Levi Agee, Rudy Aldor, Kristen Gann, Drew Guy, Jason Harper, and Tommy Tanner. Audience members will get to talk with and ask questions of the filmmakers during the show. Refreshments will be provided.
Big Smith @ Revolution (9pm, $8). The thinking man's white trash jug band-- from Springfield. Big Smith are regulars around Fayetteville, and have drawn big crowds in the past at Revolution. Should be a riot.
Tom Houston Jones & Co. @ White Water Tavern (9pm, $5). Pedigreed blues man with a resume that includes work with Cedell Davis and Peter Buck.
Sat.26.April
Kevin Kerby @ White Water Tavern (9pm, $5) with Samantha Crain (pictured) and the Jesse Aycock Band. Little Rock's finest songsmith-- the legendary Kevin Kerby-- hosts two excellent songwriters from Oklahoma: Samantha Crain, whose edgy romance already has a reliable fan base in Central Arkansas, and renegade-country crooner Jesse Aycock.
Mon.28.April
Quatre Tete @ Sticky Fingerz (10pm, $4) with CinemaHurt. Thick Sticky Mondays roll on with Chicago rockers Quatre Tete and Little Rock's super-punks, CinemaHurt. Earplugs optional.
